More of Autumn – new supplies
I was delighted with some new Daniel Smith watercolour paints that I bought recently. Here is a test run with DS Hansa Yellow, Cadmium Red, Piemontite Genuine, Burnt Bronzite Genuine, Mayan Blue, some W&N Green Gold and also-new Schmincke Translucent Orange. Composition not too great and things became a bit overworked in the centre area, but the colours work beautifully together, and it was just a test run after all!
I could probably crop it so that I could keep the nicer areas and ditch the rest.
I also ordered some new watercolour paper – and it really does make a difference. This is Fabriano Artistico rough – an it has a thumbs-up from me!
Yes, the colours look fab. Looking forward to seeing more.
